Learning to work with the camera

I don't have too much experience with cameras, but I knew everything director of photography Salvador Bolivar taught us. Whether it was screen direction or depth of field, I knew it beforehand. I had no trouble with using the camera, but an exercise on rack focus was a bit tricky. I had some difficulty with panning from one subject to another while keeping both subjects in focus. It took a couple of tries, but I eventually got the hang of it. I'm glad I perfected my rack focus, but there was never an instance where we used it on our project. Well, on the first day at least. We might need it for day two, where we're shooting a tracking sequence.
